Sustainable Resilient Built Environment (SRBE-2): Collaborate to Contribute is organised by Manipal School of Architecture and Planning in collaboration with Deakin University (Geelong, Australia), Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design, International Islamic University Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) University of Moratuwa and Auckland University Technology. In keeping with the conference’s overall theme, Sustainable Resilient Built Environment, the conference aims to address the long-term evolution of the built environment to explore implications of changing conditions on the efficacy of different approaches to planning, design, operation, management, value and governance towards improving quality of life and solving environmental issues to provide a clean and healthy environment. It brings professionals from industry, academics, research organisations and research scholars of similar interests on a common platform to share new ideas, experiences and knowledge from the field of Urban Planning, Urban Design, Technology and Architecture. The outcome of this conference is to improve the research and theory building by facilitating the exchange of knowledge, ideas, latest trends, developments, and contemporary challenges.

The Manipal School of Architecture & Planning (MSAP), is a constituent of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, (MAHE) started in 1978 with a Bachelor of Architecture degree under Mysore University. The institution came under the newly established Mangalore University in 1980 as Department of Architecture. In October 2003, MAHE renamed the Department of Architecture as Faculty of Architecture and in April 2018 Faculty of Architecture as Manipal School of Architecture & Planning. In 2010, it became the 22nd institute of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, India.
